theres a video on youtube where Akerfeldt is being interviewed while playing the guitar, the cameraman asks “what chord is that?”
Akerfeldt replies with “i dont know” your claim that Opeth is SO skilled is bullshit, in fact it’s kind of obvious someone else writes the music for these guys

Opeth is my favorite band of all time. Mikeal Åkerfeldt is a fuckin god, Im so proud to be swedish

@Setri123 well if you look at both of the tabs, they are practically identical…and sorry but Malmsteen has more skill than all of Opeth combined

This part of the song is truly truly incredible. It builds so perfectly and climaxes with the most epic guitar work I’ve ever heard.

His voice at that specific point makes me cry…. especially when he whispers “As if they knew,” and leaves a hint of anger and hatred at the edge of “knew”.

Oh God! this is divine poetry that was ascended down from heaven to pleasure our mortal ears. Opeth, we are not worthy! I listened to this beauty for 5 hours straight whilst exercising and Imadly fell in love for each 20 minutes that passed. Thanks for energizing me Mikael!
