How can you get a cut rose to open faster?

Is there anything you can put in the water to make a cut, long-stem, store bought rose open earlier?
Or anything else you can do?

usually when you buy flowers from the store, they have those little packets of food in there. mix that with the water and put it in sunlight.

Recut the stem and plunge stem into warm water then set into warm area. Once the rose opens a bit you can blow on the rose from the top and gently open with rose a bit more with your finger…warm air and gentle persuasion.

You might try cutting the stem diagonally and immediately putting it into hot water for just a minute, then take it out and place in room temp water, always keeping the stem covered to prevent air bubbles from entering the stem as best as possible… this method works beautifully for glads so it may work for roses as well.. Good Luck!
