@mike198932 I agree with you.. Some pictures don’t do Lady T justice. But come on we all have bad days. Over all Teena was an attractive women and what a voice. I am going to miss the hell out of her. So sad that it seems the good ones leave us to soon and we are left with the shit music artist. I was so pumped up when Teena had a come back in 2004 and from what I hear she was going to try to make a bigger come back. This sucks!! I 4 sure will keep her memory alive. RIP Teena thanks 4 the music

I remember when Teena used to play on stage @ Vience Beach!! Back when you could enjoy all the people and sites! Yes, I’m 2yrs. younger but know good ,very good music when I heard it!! I’m sadden by the lost of our sista with soul! But now she sings for the Creator! Sing on my sista! My condolences to the family of Teena “Lady T” Marie! I will play her music for ever! Her music is TIMELESS! And she will always be 1 of my favorite singers! “REST IN PEACE LADY T”

True…But what i remember the “older generation” saying was that Rap music in general wasn’t “good music”, and that’s because they didn’t have Rap music when they were coming up, i can still hear my Grandfather saying that Rap wasn’t “music”, LOL. As far as R&B music, it was never really bad things said about the talent because they could actually SANG!

@QUEENKIM4EVER Get used to it baby– the ‘talent’ is gonna get worse and worse!! These folks today can’t sing… And quiet as it’s kept, there was an older generation that thought our past talent could not sing or was annoying…! But we all know it’s not true! ;^)

@mrarpas12345 she may have never did a gospel song; but Teena was very spiritual. She truly loved the lord. All of her music spoke of God’s word. Listen to Cant last a day, she say; “if I lose all my faith in the Higher Power, tell me where will I be in the final hour”. Her last album Congo Room had so many spiritual songs. My absolute favorite song Deja Vun it was all about God. Start listening and you will find Teena was quite spiritual.
Time to learn about who? I know who Teena Marie is!
